Lil Floaty Cam Privacy Policy

The short version

Lil Floaty Cam does not collect, store or share any personal data. Your camera video is processed on your Mac and never leaves it.

Camera

The app uses your camera only to show you in the floating window. Background removal runs on your Mac using Apple's Vision framework. Video frames are never recorded, saved to disk, or sent anywhere by the app. When you record your screen, the recording is made and saved by the screen recorder you choose, not by Lil Floaty Cam.

What stays on your Mac

• Your settings, such as size, shape, camera and effects
• In the App Store version, how much of today's free time you've used, kept in your Mac's Keychain

None of this is sent to us or anyone else.

What we don't do

• No accounts or sign-in
• No analytics, tracking or advertising
• No third-party SDKs that collect data
• No selling or sharing of data, because we have none

Purchases

Purchases in the App Store version are handled entirely by Apple. We never see your name, Apple Account or payment details. Apple's handling of that information is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Updates (direct download version only)

The version distributed outside the App Store checks for updates by downloading a file from GitHub Pages. Like any website, GitHub may log your IP address when that request is made; see GitHub's Privacy Statement. The App Store version doesn't do this; Apple delivers its updates.

Children

Lil Floaty Cam collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
