- Open Lil Floaty Cam. It lives in your menu bar.
- Choose your camera: the built-in FaceTime camera, a USB webcam or your iPhone.
- Turn on Remove Background for a cutout, or leave it off for a camera bubble.
- Drag yourself into place and resize from any corner.
- Start your screen recorder, video call or presentation. For a clean recording, turn on Streaming Mode to hide every border and handle.

How do I make my webcam float on top of other windows on a Mac?
Open Lil Floaty Cam. Your camera appears in a small window that stays above every app, including full-screen ones. Drag it where you want it and resize it from any corner.
Can I remove my webcam background on a Mac without a green screen?
Yes. Turn on Remove Background and Lil Floaty Cam cuts you out of your background in real time using your Mac's built-in machine learning. It works in a normal room with a normal webcam.
Will the floating webcam show up in my screen recording?
Yes. It's a regular window over your screen, so QuickTime Player, the screenshot toolbar (Shift-Command-5), OBS, ScreenFlow and screen sharing in Zoom, Meet or Teams all capture it.
Can I still click on things behind my webcam?
Yes. With Remove Background on, only your cutout catches clicks; everything around you clicks through to the app underneath. Hide Camera on Mouse Over hides you completely when your cursor comes close.
Does it work with my iPhone camera?
Yes. Pick your iPhone from the Camera menu to use it with Continuity Camera, or use the built-in FaceTime camera or any USB webcam.
